For those that just skimmed straight to the author's comment, here are the key facts explained in my splurge of notes.
- Dark matter is everywhere and all around; for every atom there is an equal amount of dark matter attached to it. - Dark matter attached to matter is the source of all gravity. - Any matter that is seperated by dark matter becomes weightless; the matter does not succomb to local forces of gravity. - Only Sayrons, darkness elementals, have the ability to seperate matter from dark matter. The ability is called umbrakinesis. - Pure dark matter can be shaped into a gas, liquid, or solid at a Sayron's will. - Without the focus of umbrakinesis, pure dark matter will immediately disappear, scattering to unbinded matter. - The presence of light makes it harder to seperate dark matter and matter; in broad daylight it's almost impossible to perform umbrakinesis. --------------------------------------------------------------------- So what do I do when I'm bored in physics class? Why I make up my own laws of physics. But yeah, as I go into detail of the different aspects and phenomena in Archsphere, I thought this would be important for anyone who wants to understand how a Sayron's (darkness elemental) would work. I actually came up with this theory about dark matter in Archsphere by adopting and combining the real theory of dark matter [link] with the theory of the graviton [link] Today physicists have yet to discover what particle is the source of gravity, one of the four fundamental forces. Meanwhile, on the theory of dark matter, out in the universe there is supposedly bodies of mass that cannot be detected yet scientists believe that these bodies are there because the presence of it's gravity is detectable. So I figure, why not dark matter be the "graviton." In the universe, there could be more dark matter than "matter" and all existing matter is already surrounded by dark matter, giving matter a force of gravity. Plus I thought this to be the best solution to explain how superheroes/elementals with "darkness" abilities would make sense. I mean if you think of manipulating shadows, that doesn't make sense because a shadow is no such thing as "shadow energy" just a lack of light, just like their no such thing as a "cold energy" just a lack of heat. Anyways...so that's that. Archsphere (c) atmos00000 theory (c) atmos00000 ? (as far as I know, I don't think any scientist was published a theory identical to mind, lol) |

Haha! Awh, I'm sorry for the delay with the chapters
However with Archsphere, I actually do what to post a little more trivial info on the world before I get more into the story. The thing is since unlike the type of fantasy/scifi where in the story the fantasy is the uniqueness upon the normal world, in Archsphere, the whole setting is the fantasy aspect and will be considered like the "norm" in the story, so I won't be focusing too much on explaining how everything when doing the chapters (though being that Biv and Mart are in unfamiliar territory, you'll learn a lot on their story.
