Nihil is an actual word meaning "nothing."

Nihilism (and a nihilist) refers to the idea or people who reject law...pretty much "anarchy."

It's actually names that because that is the region in Archsphere that is literally infested anarchy... the region is filled with towns and scattered slums and ancient ruins filled with numerous powerful mobs and is the heart of the black market and terrorism. While the mobs have only limited respect to each other, the region is officially at war against the other nations with the intention to restore order to the region. The blue boundaries left and right of Nihil are regions that the other nations have claimed to restore enough stability.

Back to the word...in terms of fiction it does remind me of the "Nibel" mountains from Final Fantasy VII (which is the greatest game in the world, greater than KHs also )

haha yeah i guess i must have heard that name from FF 7...but something in my head is telling me i heard it in another game..just can't put my finger in it..( FF 7 was ok..to be honest i say FF 8 was a better game..i just enjoyed 8 more than 7 really. )

Haha, that's cool! No doubt FF8 was very awesome too. I liked them both for it's good balance of fantasy and scifi.

Final Fantasy in general was actually a very big inspiration for me in making Archsphere I just loved the RP-style world-wide travel with the variety of characters and in depth storylines, etc.

hehe yeah i know what you mean..the stories just sucked me into their world.! It was acutally FF 8 that got me into the other FF games..since it was the first FF game i have ever played.
