How do the Lightning Elementals of Archsphere work?

There are two distinct aspect of each type of elemental - the psychokinetic abilty and the unique physical traits.

TELEKINETIC ABILITY - Electrokinesis: The manipulation of a electrical currents. Though still traditionally thought as an energy-based elekinetic, it has been discovered that electrokinesis is not the direct manipulation of electrical energy but of subatomic particles; electrokinesis is the direct manipulation of loose electrons, with metallic objects as the most easiest to manipulate electricity through.

A rylen can distort and change the electric-potential of surroundings (give them an electrical charge) but shifting around the electrons. Depleting a focused area of electrons gives the area a positive charge while condensing an area with electrons gives a negative charge. A rylen can release the gathered electrons unleashing an electrical current.

A Class I Rylen has enough TP to redirect and guide electric currents through and around their body but in limited range.

A Class II Rylen have a TP 100 times more stronger and are powerful enough to condense and manifest orbs of pure electrons.

A Class III Rylen, with the highest TP, can generate an electric potential in the surrounding envirnonment powerful enough to trigger lightning bolts.

Recessive cases - These are psychokinetic alterations of this element. Though elementals with recessive alterations possess the same physical attributes.

Magnekinesis - 1 in 5,000 rylens possess this alteration. This ability inhibits the direct discharge of electricity from the rylen’s body. Instead, the stored electricity in the rylen’s is circulated producing a magnetic field around the individual’s body. The individual can also induce a magnetic field on surrounding objects and is able to manipulate the objects through the interaction of magnetic fields.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES

Rylen Sapiens - Rylens do not posess any distinct external features; the specialization of rylens are all exhibited in their neuromuscular system. Rylens have electric organs - modified muscles cells  - the run parallel along a rylen’s arm, leg, and back muscles. They behave very similar to the electric organ of an electric eel, the organs can store and discharge an average max between 600-1100 volts.

The nerve fibers throughout a rylen’s body are significantly thicker than average, which is the reason behind a rylen’s naturally swift reflexes.

Rylen’s also have an additional sense; rylens possess electroreceptors throughout the surface of their skin, allowing them to feel distinct changes in electrical fields in their surroundings.

Rylen Rhamphors - They possess the same specializations as rylen sapiens but have a extremely higher potential. With a their tail as an additional, much larger, limb rylen rhamphors have hold a very high reservoir to store electricity. It’s been measured that a rylen rhamphor has the capacity to hold and discharge up to 700,000 volts.
